  1. Piece 1
This piece contains multiple illustration that vary in size, colour and subject, the layout out of this imagery creates a sense of busy excitement that would entice the viewer. The illustrations are also very expressive and provoke a fun atmosphere. A way in which to develop the imagery would be not use two alternating colour of blue to separate the page as this does not harmonise well, possibly using an alternate colour would increase contrast.

  2. Piece 2 – The detail in this illustration is impressive and really helps show the scale of the location. I feel like the lack of colour works effectively, it would be an unnecessary distraction from the bold line art. Something to consider for developing this illustration would be to possibly diversify the width and shape of the brush used, this could give the illustration a more stylized look.

Piece 3 – I love the use of the gradients for portraying shadow and light, this has given the castle depth and emphasized it’s shape. The colours and shapes used in the piece are diverse and unusual which is aesthetically pleasing and gives the piece a feeling of excitement. A way to develop this image could be the addition of a background, as this would help to convey the atmosphere.
